Gulabi Gang

In the aftermath of a New Delhi student's shocking gangrape and murder in December 2012, the issue of violence against women in India has never been more urgent. Gulabi Gang, an organisation of activists founded by Sampat Pal Deviwas, was created to stand up for the rights of women against abuse and intimidation, especially among the poor. Nishtha Jain’s docu serves to highlight their fight against discrimination and corruption in a country where the Dalits are still mistreated and women have little protection from the law.
